There are paintings that do not tell a story.
They depict neither a specific place nor a particular moment.
They leave only a trace of presence.
 

 
RUACH emerges from the space between matter and light - from a place where something has not yet taken its final form, yet has already begun to exist.
 
White is not emptiness here.
It is a space for breath.
 
The blues, violets and delicate pinks moving through it appear like traces of movement  like something that cannot be held or captured, but only felt.
 

 
The title RUACH comes from the Hebrew רוּחַ (ruach) - a word whose meanings include wind, breath, breathing and spirit.
 
Perhaps everything begins precisely with what is invisible.
With breath.
With a movement that cannot be seen, yet whose presence can be felt.
 
RUACH does not attempt to say what this presence is.
It leaves space for it to be experienced.
