MYSTERY
There are things we do not need to understand immediately.
Not everything needs to be named, explained or revealed.
Some things need time.
A different light.
A different way of seeing.
MYSTERY is about precisely that.
Two paintings form a single space - dark, deep, almost nocturnal.
Within the deep bottle green, touches of gold and copper emerge, yet their presence is never quite the same.
In one light, they become almost invisible.
In another, they begin to glow.
From one point of view, the painting says something different than it does from another. It changes with the time of day.
It changes with the light.
It changes with us.
Perhaps this is why mystery is necessary.
Because when we want to know everything immediately, there is less and less room left for wonder, waiting and discovery.
And yet, not everything that is hidden wants to be found.
Sometimes, it is enough to remain with the question.
And to look.
Until something we had never seen before
suddenly appears in the light.
