Where the painting does NOT begin with form

Before color appears,
before the hand makes the first gesture -
there is something that has no shape yet.

Silence.
A movement without direction.
A presence that is difficult to name.
Anima mundi and Panta rhei – words that carry experience
In ancient languages, they tried to grasp it with a word.
Not to confine it -
but to draw closer to it.
Latin carries a particular quality.
It is like a stone of memory — calm, precise, almost still.
And yet, it opens a space of meanings that do not fade.
Anima mundi - the soul of the world, present in all that lives and breathes.
Panta rhei - everything flows, everything is in perpetual motion.
These are not just concepts.
They are words that, across centuries, have carried the experience of existence.
Their strength does not lie in definition -
but in the fact that they still move something deeper than thought.
Abstract painting does not depict. It unveils.

Abstract and intuitive painting is born in that same space.
Not from the need to reproduce -
but from the need to be in what has not yet been named.
It is sometimes called “chaotic.”
And yet, it is in this apparent indefiniteness
that the purest order of feeling appears.
An abstract painting does not depict.
It unveils.
It is like a fragment of a veil - velum -
through which light filters.
Rosa Caeli – Velum: The Rose of the Sky and the delicate veil
“Rosa Caeli – Velum”
is for me the image of a subtle revelation.
Rosa - the rose, for centuries a symbol of what unfolds in silence: beauty, mystery, heart.
Caeli - of the sky, higher space, luminous, infinite.
The Rose of the Sky.
A light that does not impose -
but opens.
And *velum*… remains a delicate veil.
It does not separate -
it protects the moment of passage between what is visible and what is felt.
I return to the source that belongs neither to time nor to style
In this series, I return to the source that belongs neither to time nor to style.
To the place where the word does not yet limit,
and the image is only just beginning to breathe.
To the space where everything is in motion,
and yet — deeply still.

“Rosa Caeli – Velum”
coming soon… 🪄💫
I am not calling you.
I simply am.
I leave a colorful trace…
so that something within you may find its way.
