THE CROSSING: What Waits For You On The Other Side Of Silence

Updated: Apr 27

There are spaces we avoid.

Not because they are empty,

but because they are too real.

Silence is one of them.

Not the soft, soothing kind from stories,

but the real one,

that comes when we turn the world off.

When we put the phone down.

When we stop running.

At first, it does not bring relief.

It brings chaos.

The mind, deprived of stimuli,

searches for anything to hold on to.

It offers images, memories, scenarios.

It leads us to the past or the future,

anywhere but here.

This is the threshold moment.

The hardest one.

Because it is then that it’s easiest to return

to what is familiar.

To quick relief.

To a world that does not demand an encounter with yourself.

But if we stay…

If we allow it all to sound out,

something deeper will appear.

TRUTH.

Not always comfortable.

Not always light.

But real.

About our life.

About our choices.

About what we long for

and what we can no longer ignore.

And then, something shifts.

Not suddenly.

Not spectacularly.

Slowly.

Presence arrives.

We begin to notice what was always there:

the light and warmth of sun on skin,

the song of the wind,

the scent of air after rain.

Simple things begin to matter.

Not because they are new

but because,

finally, we are present.

Silence gives us nothing from the outside.

It restores.

It takes away illusions,

but it gives back something far more precious:

contact with yourself.

And maybe that is why

it is so difficult today.

Because it requires courage

not to run away.

And responsibility

to see your life as it is.

But there, on the other side of that meeting,

there is no emptiness.

There is space.

And in it…

the beginning of creating a new life, new choices, a new you…

Abstract painting The Crossing in darkness with light and plant shadow symbolizing silence and transformation Atelier BWK

Not every painting wants to be seen.

But every painting needs silence to be born.

I am not calling you.

I simply am.

I leave a colorful trace…

so that something within you may find its way.
